According to reports from The Sun, Everton are plotting a move to sign Bournemouth striker Joshua King, as they look to replace the void left by Romelu Lukaku.
Everton have spent over £150 million in the summer transfer window, but the Toffees have failed to land a quality striker in the summer.
Ronald Koeman attempted to sign Arsenal striker Olivier Giroud, but remained unsuccessful in luring him to the Goodison Park.
The 25-year-old former Manchester United player joined Bournemouth in 2015, and has scored 23 goals in 73 league appearances for the club.
The Norway international scored 16 Premier League goals last season, and would be a superb signing for the Toffees.
He was linked with a move to Tottenham this summer, but Spurs moved for Fernando Llorente instead.
King has established himself as a proven Premier League striker and would cost around £20 million.
He is fast, mobile, brings others into the game, and is a good finisher. The most important thing about him is that he is playing at a top level and with quality players around, he could get even better.
King scored against Everton in the Premier League on Saturday, but couldn’t prevent his side from suffering a 2-1 defeat at the Goodison Park.
