West Ham are also hoping to sign the free agent.
Manchester City’s Bacary Sagna in action with Swansea’s Jefferson Montero
Everton are the latest team to be linked with a move for Manchester City defender Bacary Sagna this month.
The French international defender is out of contract at the Etihad this summer and it looks increasingly likely he will be let go by Pep Guardiola.
Now, Le 10 Sport in France is reporting that Everton have begun making contacts in pursuit of the player.
The Toffees have right-back options in the form of Seamus Coleman and Mason Holgate but it may be they see Sagna as a potential option in a back-three.
Both West Ham and Marseille are also keen on signing Bacary Sagna in the summer.
Everton’s Romelu Lukaku in action with Manchester City’s Bacary Sagna
West Ham were linked with the Manchester City player by the Mirror over the weekend. According to Le 10 Sport the French side are hopeful of continuing their revolution by bringing Sagna to the club on a free themselves.
But a move to Everton would allow Sagna the opportunity to remain in the North-West with little disruption and still challenge high up the Premier League table.
Sagna has however been performing well for City in recent weeks, so a contract renewal is surely not out of the question.
But if he does leave, Everton appear to be in a busy queue looking to snap him up.
