Everton have reportedly joined the race to sign Burnley striker Andre Gray.

According to The Telegraph, Everton have joined the race to sign Burnley striker Andre Gray, with Tottenham also believed to be interested in signing him.
Gray, 25, joined Burnley from Brentford in the summer of 2015, having hit 20 goals in 52 games for the Bees following a 2014 switch from Luton Town.
The striker thrived in the Championship last season, hitting 23 goals as Burnley won promotion to the Premier League, and he has shown flashes of his quality this season with nine goals in 31 appearances.
Burnley’s survival in the Premier League means teams could be looking to raid the Clarets, and Gray is a prime target given that his contract at Turf Moor ends in the summer of 2018.

Now, The Telegraph claim that Everton have joined Tottenham in the race to sign Gray this summer, with Ronald Koeman’s men keen to add more attacking talent whether Romelu Lukaku stays or not.
It’s noted that Burnley could be forced to sell this summer rather than risk losing Gray for nothing in 2018, and Everton are now positioning themselves to make a cut-price swoop for the Englishman this summer.

With Everton also allegedly pursuing Burnley defender Michael Keane – another Clarets ace out of contract next summer – the Toffees could be plotting a double raid on Sean Dyche’s men in order to land two talented English players.
Tottenham could yet wade in to move for both players, but Everton appear to be focusing on players with Premier League experience again, having moved for Ashley Williams, Idrissa Gueye and Yannick Bolasie last summer.
