Everton are reportedly in the race for Ajax ace Hossein Zamani.

According to the Daily Mail, Everton are interested in snapping up Ajax teenager Hossein Zamani – but face massive competition for his signature.
Ajax continue to churn out major talents from their famed academy setup, and Zamani looks to be yet another tipped for stardom.
The winger hit three goals and one assist in 22 games for Ajax Under-17’s last season, but he’s now allegedly looking for a new challenge away from the Amsterdam giants.
Everton and Leicester City are allegedly showing serious interest in Zamani, but there’s competition from AC Milan, Atalanta, Marseille, Manchester City and Manchester United.
This seems like a move being driven by Everton’s director of football Marcel Brands, who will have an incredible knowledge of all the top talents coming through in his native Netherlands.
Iranian-born youngster Zamani fits the bill, and would give Everton a real talent for the future, which has been a key part of Brands’ approach so far; signing youngsters with resale value.

Zamani is a little younger than the usual Everton target under Brands, but that may just go to show how highly rated Zamani is, and how much the Toffees want to get him on board.
Everton fans have been focusing on pursuing Ajax winger David Neres, with UOL Esporte claiming talks have been held with his representatives about a move to Goodison Park.
Yet it could be another Ajax winger – one less known than Neres – that ends up making the move to Merseyside this summer, with Zamani a wanted man.
