Report: Everton want Aaron Ramsey, Marcel Brands working on mega-money deal

Everton are said to have put the Arsenal midfielder on their wishlist, with Marcel Brands drawing up a contract offer.

According to The Sun, Everton’s head of recruitment Marcel Brands is working on a contract offer to tempt Aaron Ramsey to Goodison Park.

Ramsey is set to leave Arsenal on a free transfer at the end of the season, when his contract expires.

And Everton are determined to bring in the Welshman to bolster Marco Silva’s squad.

Brands is now said to be drawing up a contract, which could blow Arsenal’s terms out of the water.

Everton are said to be prepared to offer Ramsey a five-year deal on £150,000-a-week, as well as a £15 million signing on fee.

The offer would make Ramsey’s the Toffees’ top earner and would be a real signal of intent.

Everton have expressed an ambition to break into the top four, and Ramsey’s arrival at Goodison Park would start to make them look like real contenders.
