Everton have reportedly joined Arsenal, Liverpool and Manchester City in the race to sign Charlton Athletic striker Ademola Lookman.

According to The Mirror, Everton have joined the race to sign Charlton Athletic striker Ademola Lookman – but Liverpool watched him during Charlton’s 3-1 FA Cup win over Scunthorpe on Saturday.

The Toffees swooped to land one talented young League One striker on deadline day in August, as Dominic Calvert-Lewin left Sheffield United for a move to Goodison Park.

The teenager has yet to make his Premier League debut, but appears to have a bright future ahead of him – and with loanee Enner Valencia making little impact since arriving from West Ham United, Everton appear to be eyeing up another striker.

The Mirror report that Everton are keen on signing Charlton Athletic attacker Ademola Lookman, who has hit five goals this season, and notched five goals in 17 appearances for the Addicks last term.

Lookman, a striker who can also play out wide, has enjoyed a meteoric rise with Charlton having joined the club from Waterloo in 2014, and his performances appear to have attracted major interest.

The report states that Charlton valued Lookman at a whopping £10m during the summer transfer window, and blocked a move from Crystal Palace as they kept hold of their teenage starlet.

Now though, Everton are reportedly ready to make a move for Lookman, with director of football Steve Walsh believed to have been keen to sign Lookman for former club Leicester City.

However, Everton aren’t the only club keen on Lookman. It’s claimed that Merseyside rivals scouted Lookman during the 3-1 FA Cup win over Scunthorpe United on Saturday, as did Arsenal, as the race for the England Under-20 ace hots up.
