Mo Besic is available for transfer but there are currently no firm offers on the table for the seldom-seen Everton midfielder, as reported by the Liverpool Echo.
The Bosnia international must have thought he had put himself in the shop window during a respectable loan spell at Sheffield United last season.
But, for whatever reason, interested suitors were few and far between during the summer, with Steven Gerrard’s Rangers deciding to sign Bongani Zungu on deadline day instead (Liverpool Echo).
Besic was subsequently left out of Everton’s 25-man Premier League squad.
And, with his contract due to expire in July, the Toffees are keen to move on one of their longest-serving players before the month is out.
Doing so will be easier said than done, however. The Echo claims there are no serious offers on the table at the moment.
Remarkably, Besic hasn’t featured in Everton colours since a 3-0 victory over Apollon Limassol in December 2017, a game in which Ademola Lookman scored twice for a Sam Allardyce-led side.
