According to The Mirror, Watford will completely refuse to deal with Everton as they pursue forward Richarlison – but Premier League rivals Tottenham Hotspur could still make a move.

The Toffees finally landed the manager they’ve wanted for more than six months, as on Thursday they confirmed the appointment of Marco Silva as Sam Allardyce’s successor.

Silva was the top target to replace Ronald Koeman back in October, but Watford stood firm and refused to let him go, before sacking him in January, citing that Everton’s interest had turned his head and sparked a poor run of results.

The Portuguese boss has now got his move to Goodison Park after a lengthy wrangle with Watford, but Everton seemingly won’t be getting any more favours from the Hornets this summer.

The Mirror report that Watford forward Richarlison may become a top target for Silva having thrived together at Vicarage Road in 2017, but the Hornets will flat-out refuse to deal with Everton due to the frayed relations between the two clubs.

Whilst Watford value Richarlison around the £40million mark, there is no chance of him heading to Goodison Park with Silva – and Tottenham may yet try their luck with a bid of their own.

It’s claimed that Tottenham may look to the former Fluminense talent as an alternative to Crystal Palace’s Wilfried Zaha this summer, with Mauricio Pochettino seemingly keen to boost his attack.

Whilst Richarlison made a blistering start to the season with five goals and four assists in his first 17 Premier League games, he didn’t register a goal or an assist in 2018, and teams such as Everton and Tottenham may be better off waiting to see how the 21-year-old fares next season before launching big-money bids.
