According to The Mirror, Everton are planning a January move for Hull City left back Josh Tymon – but face a battle with Arsenal for his signature.
The Toffees have a proven Premier League left back at the club in Leighton Baines, but his recent injury problems have left manager Ronald Koeman scrambling.

Bryan Oviedo has filled in well but doesn’t appear to be the long-term answer for Everton, whist Luke Garbutt has only played three times on loan at Wigan this season, and Brendan Galloway is also finding first-team football hard to come by at West Brom.
Koeman has some decisions to make regarding his left backs, and it could become even more muddled if he attempts to sign another left back, as reports are suggesting he will this evening.

The Mirror report that Everton have set their sights on Hull City youngster Josh Tymon, who has been coming up through the ranks with his hometown club.
Born and bred in Hull, Tymon joined the Tigers at the age of just 12, and has now made four first-team appearances as he continues to progress at the KCOM Stadium.

An England Under-17 international with three caps to his name, Tymon has yet to sign a first professional contract with Hull – and Everton are now lurking, and are believed to be willing to pay whatever Hull’s financial demands are in terms of compensation for the youngster.
Whilst the Toffees are believed to have been tracking Tymon’s displays for Hull’s development squad, they aren’t alone. The report adds that Arsenal are also keen on Tymon, as they look to develop a left back behind the experienced Nacho Monreal – and it seems that Koeman could be in a January battle with Arsene Wenger for Tymon’s signature, if reports are to be believed.
