Everton appear to have made a breakthrough in their search for their new manager with a Premier League rival on their radar.

According to a report from Sky Sports, Everton are planning to make an approach for Burnley boss Sean Dyche in the next 24 hours as it appears that they have reached a breakthrough in their search for their new manager.
Everton have been without a permanent boss for eight days after parting company with Ronald Koeman in the wake of their heavy defeat to Arsenal in the Premier League.

But it appears that they may be on the verge of a major development, with Sky Sports reporting that the Toffees are planning to approach Burnley about speaking to Dyche about becoming Koeman’s permanent successor.
Dyche has done a fantastic job at Turf Moor, and seems to have been mentioned by many pundits as someone that Everton would be foolish not to consider for the post.

Following Burnley’s win over Newcastle on Monday night, the Clarets have moved up to seventh in the top flight table, just three points off the top four.
That is the kind of level many would have expected Everton to be at at this stage, so the Toffees hierarchy will be hoping that Dyche can have a similar impact if talks progress well and he takes over at Goodison Park.
