Everton have been linked with Newcastle United defender Jamaal Lascelles.

Jamaal Lascelles is one of the best defenders in England, and there is no surprise that Tottenham Hotspur, Liverpool and West Ham United are among the clubs reportedly interested in the Newcastle United star.
Tottenham and Chelsea are interested in the former Nottingham Forest defender, according to The London Evening Standard, while The Independent has credited Liverpool with interest in the 24-year-old and The Sun has claimed that West Ham want the centre-back.

The Sun has now claimed that Everton are interested in signing Lascelles from Premier League rivals Newcastle in the summer transfer window.
It has been reported that new Toffees’ manager Marco Silva is set to make a £30 million bid for the former England Under-21 international.

Move feasible?
Lascelles, who earns £40,000 per week as salary according to Spotrac.com, is happy at Newcastle, and if Benitez remains in charge of the Magpies, then it is hard to see the former Forest defender leave the Magpies in the summer transfer window.
Moreover, with clubs such as Tottenham and Liverpool linked with the 24-year-old, Everton do face a stiff competition for Lascelles and may not be able to convince him to make the switch to Goodison Park this summer.
