According to The Mirror, Everton are set to hold talks with forward Ademola Lookman this week about his future at Goodison Park.
The Toffees have yet to make a move in the transfer market this summer, and that may in part be down to the fact that they have a huge squad at Marco Silva’s disposal.
Wayne Rooney’s exit could spark a series of outgoings, with the likes of Luke Garbutt, Morgan Schneiderlin, Leighton Baines, Oumar Niasse, Davy Klaassen, Muhamed Besic and Kevin Mirallas potentially set for the exit.
One player whose future is up in the air is forward Ademola Lookman, and The Mirror report that the Toffees are set to hold talks with him this week to clear up the situation.
The 20-year-old joined Everton from Charlton Athletic back in January 2017, but struggled for playing time last season before being sent out on loan to German side RB Leipzig on deadline day in January.
Lookman starred in the Bundesliga, hitting five goals and three assists in 11 appearances for Leipzig before heading back to Merseyside – and it’s claimed that he wants to move on in order to pursue first-team football elsewhere.
Everton understandably want to keep Lookman at Goodison Park, but with Southampton and Tottenham Hotspur understood to be interested, talks will take place with Lookman later this week about his future.
