Iborra has reportedly been offered to Watford but Everton could rival them for the Spaniard’s signature.
Everton are thought to be monitoring Vicente Iborra’s situation after the Sevilla midfielder was offered to Watford, reports the Hertfordshire-based website, WD Sports.
The Hornets are said to want Iborra on loan, although the Spanish side are pushing for a permanent transfer – which could open the door for Everton to pounce.
Sevilla’s Vicente Iborra
The Toffees are reportedly looking to add to their midfield this month, with Manchester United’s Morgan Schneiderlin strongly tipped for a move to Goodison Park.
Iborra, though, could be a cheaper alternative to the Frenchman, given Sevilla’s apparent willingness to sell.
Manchester United’s Marouane Fellaini
Despite signing a new contract last September, the 28-year-old – who was described by Spanish football expert Guillem Balague as ‘a better Marouane Fellaini’ – has started just four of Jorge Sampaoli’s side’s 16 league matches this season and is said to fancy a move to England.
Sunderland are reported to have had a £7.7 million offer for Iborra accepted in August, only for Sevilla to change their minds after failing to secure a replacement [Sky Sports].
Would Iborra be a good signing for Everton?
