Everton target Fikayo Tomori is still ‘concerned’ about staying with Chelsea, as he feels he may not play enough, the Telegraph suggest.

Everton have been strongly linked with Tomori, but seem to be moving on now.

The Telegraph report how Everton have made an offer to sign Ben Godfrey from Norwich City, as Carlo Ancelotti’s side look to improve their central defensive options.

If Godfrey does come in that could mean that Tomori misses out on the chance to join Everton.

At the moment that does not seem to be a problem for Tomori, as he has forced his way back into contention at Goodison Park.

But the Telegraph suggest that Tomori is now desperate to continue getting first-team football, and he is still worried that he could fall out of contention again.

Chelsea have the likes of Thiago Silva, Kurt Zouma and Andreas Christensen who can all play at centre-back, and may well be ahead of Tomori in the pecking order over the long-term.

For that reason a move to Everton could still appeal to Tomori, as he would be likely to receive more regular game time at Goodison Park.

It is arguable that Tomori is currently slightly ahead of Godfrey in his development.

But Everton would have the chance of land Godfrey on a permanent basis, which may just make him a slightly more appealing addition that Tomori, who they could only take on loan for the season.
