Spanish outlet El Confidencial claim Sevilla midfielder Steven N’Zonzi will be just one of a number of players to leave the Champions League quarter-finalists in the summer – and that is sure to put Everton on alert.

The Liverpool Echo have recently claimed that Everton are interested in £25million-rated midfielder N’Zonzi, in a move that would see Sam Allardyce reunite himself with the 6ft 4in midfielder after he brought N’Zonzi to Blackburn in 2009.

The 29-year-old’s reputation has grown exponentially since his move to Sevilla, where he has even helped the La Liga outfit hold aloft a Europa League trophy after joining the club from Stoke City in the summer of 2015.

Three years later, it seems as though that the two-time France international will be leaving the club and Everton are likely to be at the head of the queue for the lanky midfielder.

The report claims N’Zonzi is at loggerheads with Sevilla officials after being spotted in a Madrid nightclub to see his family, and that has “ignited the wrath of the Sevillians”.

With the summer window just over two months away, N’Zonzi will be preparing himself and indeed his agent for what is likely to be a busy summer regarding his future. A move to Everton is becoming more and more likely.
