Everton are reportedly target Hoffenheim ace Sebastian Rudy – and his team-mate Niklas Sule.

According to The Mirror, Everton are keen on Hoffenheim midfielder Sebastian Rudy, as well as his team-mate Niklas Sule.
The Toffees have won just one of their last seven Premier League games, as Saturday’s 1-1 draw with bottom club Swansea City was a major disappointment.
It’s clear that Ronald Koeman still needs additions to his side having only overseen one transfer window at Goodison Park, and central midfield should be a position that the Dutchman looks to strengthen.
Idrissa Gueye’s international commitment will bite Everton early into 2017, as he will travel to Gabon to represent Senegal in the Africa Cup of Nations, and Everton don’t have many players who can replace him.
Sebastian Rudy in action for Germany
Now, The Mirror report that Everton are keen on Hoffenheim star Sebastian Rudy, and could make a January move to sign the German in January.
Rudy, 26, has been a key player for Hoffenheim ever since joining the club from from Stuttgart in 2010, and his performances have earned him 12 caps for the German national team.
Rudy’s versatility will make him attractive to Koeman; he has regularly played at right back and in holding midfield, and he’s established a reputation as a dependable, solid player with good technical ability, decent set pieces and even strong tackling.
Niklas Sule
Some of those attributes make him ideal to compete with Gueye, and his contract situation will certainly appeal to Everton. Rudy’s deal expires at the end of the season, and the report claims that Everton could land him for just £3.2m in January, which would be a bargain for an established German international.
It’s added that Everton have also been taking a look at Rudy’s Hoffenheim team-mate Niklas Sule; a 21-year-old centre back who stands at a giant 6ft 5in tall. Tipped as a star of the future – and allegedly targeted by Liverpool and Spurs – Sule would certainly cost a lot more than Rudy if Everton were to move for him.
