According to Calciomercato, Everton have submitted a bid for Juventus midfielder Adrien Rabiot, who has also been offered to Manchester United.
The Italian news outlet add that the 10-cap France international is after a contract worth €7 million-a-year (£6 million-a-year).
Calciomercato claim that Juventus have offered him to Manchester United in an attempt to bring Paul Pogba back, which may put Everton at a disadvantage.
However, Carlo Ancelotti has an advantage himself, as he managed Rabiot at Paris Saint-Germain and helped bring him into the first-team as a 17-year-old.
In that respect, perhaps the 25-year-old may have a fondness towards the Italian for helping ease him into the senior game.

Rabiot has become a key player under Andrea Pirlo at Juventus, making 32 appearances in all competitions this season, scoring twice while recording two assists.
It was Pirlo himself who described the Saint-Maurice born maestro as a ‘complete player’ after he delivered an excellent performance against Cagliari in November.
Goal quote the Juventus boss as saying: “He is a complete player, I have rarely seen someone so strong both physically and technically.”

In our view, Ancelotti doesn’t really need another midfielder.
He has Allan, Abdoulaye Doucoure and James Rodriguez to choose from, as well as the likes of Tom Davies, Andre Gomes and Gylfi Sigurdsson – not to mention Fabian Delph as well.
Additionally, £6 million-a-year equates to £115,385-a-week, which is a fairly hefty weekly wage – Everton should steer clear of this deal, in our view.
