Everton are reportedly closing in on Besiktas striker Cenk Tosun.

According to Turkish TV station NTV Spor, Everton have submitted a proposal worth around €20million (£17.7million) for Besiktas striker Cenk Tosun – and he wants the move to Goodison Park.
The Toffees were expected to land a new striker over the summer following Romelu Lukaku’s move to Manchester United, but they ended the transfer window without landing a major replacement.
Dominic Calvert-Lewin has filled in admirably so far this season, but new manager Sam Allardyce is expected to pursue a new striker during the January transfer window.

One name mentioned is Besiktas hitman Cenk Tosun, and NTV Spor now report that Everton have submitted an approach of around €20million (£17.7million) for Tosun, with the Toffees awaiting a response from the Turkish giants.
It’s noted that Tosun is interested in a move to Everton, and will join the Toffees in January if they can strike an agreement over a fee with Besiktas.
Tosun, 26, has been a goalscoring sensation for Besiktas since his 2014 move from Gaziantepspor, hitting 50 goals in three seasons before the start of the current campaign.

The Turkish international – who has notched eight goals in 24 games for his country – has hit 13 goals in 23 games in all competitions this season, become one of the most in demand forwards in Europe.
Tosun could provide a major boost to Everton’s striking options, though whether Besiktas would accept just shy of £18million remains to be seen as January approaches.
