Tarashaj is yet to make a senior appearance for Everton.

The Liverpool Echo have reported that Everton striker Shani Tarashaj has rejoined Swiss side Grasshoppers on a trial after failing to make a single Toffees appearance for the senior side.
The 23-year-old striker joined Everton back in January 2016 from Grasshoppers for a fee believed to be in the region of £3million, but he has failed to make the breakthrough since then.

Indeed, the five-time Switzerland international has moved on loan to Grasshoppers and Eintracht Frankfurt, and could now be set for his third separate spell back in his home country with the Swiss outfit.

Tarashaj did make 15 appearances for Frankfurt during a season-long loan but illness and injury prevented him from making any more. A knee injury sustained this season limited him to only a handful of Under-23 appearances.

Now, the striker has been given permission to join Grasshoppers on a trial instead of reporting to Finch Farm for pre-season training under new manager Marco Silva.
Any move to sign Tarashaj would see Grasshoppers have to pay a fee, with the forward’s contract expiring in the summer of 2020. However, it is not out of the question to see Everton possibly release the striker first.
