Everton are trying to find an English club to take Ramirez on loan.
The 23-year-old was made available this summer by The Toffees, who are keen to get rid of the Spanish striker after failing to make an impact on Merseyside since his move from Malaga last summer.
Costing just £5.2million, he was seen as a bargain by most, but failed to break into the side and was loaned back to Spain with Sevilla in the January transfer window.
Everton have since signed Cenk Tosun from Besiktas and still boast Dom Calvert-Lewin and Oumar Niasse, meaning there is no space for Ramirez at Goodison Park – despite the change of managers.
Everton wanted to loan him out to a Premier League side this summer, but they have since struggled to do just that and now it is likely that Ramirez will move to a top-tier French side after the transfer window.
With the European transfer window remaining open as normal, unlike England’s decision to cut it short to August 9, clubs can still buy from English sides and that could be the case for Ramirez.
Though Ramirez wants a return to Spain, it is likely that the striker will have to settle for a loan move to France.
