Everton are reportedly still keen on Aaron Wan-Bissaka.

Aaron Wan-Bissaka of Crystal Palace looks on during the Premier League match between Crystal Palace and West Ham United at Selhurst Park on February 9, 2019 in London, United Kingdom.

According to The Sun, Everton remain keen on signing Crystal Palace defender Aaron Wan-Bissaka – but now trail Arsenal in the race for his signature.

Wan-Bissaka, 21, made his senior debut for Palace almost a year ago to the day, and has enjoyed a quite remarkable rise during that time.

Formerly a winger, Wan-Bissaka is now considered as one of the top right backs in the Premier League, with a senior England cap surely not far away.

Palace have seen top youth products such as Victor Moses, Wilfried Zaha and Nathaniel Clyne move on over the years, even if Zaha came back, and Wan-Bissaka is the latest to attract major interest.

The Sun report that Everton are keen to snap up Wan-Bissaka, which is no great surprise given Seamus Coleman’s struggles at Goodison Park this season.

However, Arsenal are thought to be leading the race right now, even with the right back believed to be valued at around £40million, possibly even more.

Arsenal aren’t exactly flush with cash at the moment though, and even though staying in London may be appealing to Croydon-born Wan-Bissaka, he would also have Hector Bellerin to compete with once he returns to fitness.

A move to Merseyside would be more of a gamble given that Palace are just three points behind Everton now anyway, even if Marco Silva’s men have more cash to spend, and it promises to be a fierce battle for his signature this summer.
