Everton are said to have their limitations over what they will offer Manchester United’s Wayne Rooney.
Everton have been linked with a sensational return for Rooney recently, with discussions underway with United.
The 31-year-old forward has always had a desire to finish his career at Goodison Park, and it seems that Rooney may get his wish to return home to Merseyside.
However, there are still complications in the deal – with Everton not prepared to pay over the odds for the England international.

At the moment, Everton are haggling over a deal to sign Rooney.
The Toffees are believed to be willing to pay a £10 million fee, in combination with offering £150,000-a-week wages, but that may not be enough to tempt Rooney.
Rooney is on £250,000-a-week at United, which Everton simply will not match.
The Toffees like Rooney, but feel that Sigurdsson is a more important target, and Ronald Koeman would prefer to have the Iceland international.
Sigurdsson scored more goals and created more assists than Rooney last term, and is unlikely to demand as high a salary as England’s record goalscorer.
