Everton are still in talks with Watford over the signing of Abdoulaye Doucoure, according to 90min.
It has been reported that Watford want £30 million as transfer fee for Doucoure, but the Toffees are not willing to pay it.
However, according to the report, the Merseyside outfit are willing to add fringe players in the deal to reduce the transfer fee.
Watford spell
Doucoure has been on the books of Watford since 2016 and has established himself as an important player for the Hornets.
According to WhoScored, the 27-year-old made 36 starts and one substitute appearance in the Premier League for Watford last season, scoring four goals and providing two assists in the process.
During the 2018-19 campaign, the former France Under-21 international made 34 starts and one substitute appearance in the league for the Hornets, scoring five goals and providing six assists in the process, according to WhoScored.
Leaving Watford
With Watford having been relegated to the Championship, it is hard to see Doucoure stay at Vicarage Road for much longer, and he would make the current Everton team stronger in the middle of the park.
