Everton boss Marco Silva still thinks that his squad needs work doing to it, with the Toffees set for a busy end to the transfer window.

Marco Silva, head coach of FC Everton gestures during the pre-season friendly match between SV Werder Bremen and FC Everton at Wohninvest Weserstadion on August 03, 2019 in Bremen, Germany.

According to the Daily Mail, Everton boss Marco Silva is hopeful of getting further deals over the line before deadline day, even though his side have had multiple offers rejected recently.

Everton are on the hunt for a new right-back, with Djibril Sidibe set to join very shortly.

The Toffees also want another central midfielder and a winger before Thursday, with Watford’s Adboulaye Doucoure and Crystal Palace’s Wilfried Zaha in their sights.

Everton have so far been rebuffed in their attempts to sign both Doucoure and Zaha with their current clubs determined to keep him, but Silva has faith that deals are possible.

The Mail also claims that Everton will make another move for Chelsea defender Kurt Zouma, although Fiyako Tomori is still being considered, if Frank Lampard won’t let the French defender leave.

If Everton can get hold of all their remaining targets then their squad would look very strong ahead of the new campaign, and they may just have the tools required to push for the top six.

The Toffees begin their season with a match against Crystal Palace at Selhurst Park this weekend.
