Everton are among the Premier League sides taking an interest in Augsburg defender Daniel Opare.

Opare has featured regularly for the Bundesliga side this season, helping them put themselves in the top-half of the table so far this season. But it appears that the Ghana international may not be with his current side for much longer.

The Sun reports that Opare is out of contract at the end of the season. And while Augsburg want to discuss fresh terms, the German outfit may be forced into a tough decision.
Interestingly, it appears that Opare may potentially be on his way to the Premier League, with The Sun reporting that Stoke City are among the front-runners for his signature, but Everton and Watford are amongst the cluster of European sides who are also keen.

That would mean that the Toffees could end up battling with the man who has been heavily linked with succeeding Ronald Koeman at Goodison Park in Silva (via BT Sport), should they both properly enter the race to sign the defender.
It seems little surprise that Everton are interested in bolstering their full-back options. And while Opare may not be near the top of many fans’ wishlists by any means, his contract situation arguably means that he would be a decent addition if they did follow up their initial interest by making a concrete bid and then managed to win the race for his signature.
