Everton are set to offer a new deal to Beni Baningime, who is out of contract at the end of the season.
Baningime has under a year left on his current deal at Everton, but he is highly regarded by the coaching staff at Goodison Park.
And Everton are keen to keep the youngster around on Merseyside, as they see him as a potential first-team footballer in the future.
Baningime is only 19-years-old, and he is yet to make an impact on the senior side at Goodison Park.
But his performances in under-23 matches have caught the eye, and Everton are now facing a battle to keep hold of the prospect.
Manchester United are said to be interested in Baningime, but Everton are hopeful that an improved contract will be enough to keep the youngster around.
Ronald Koeman has already proven that he is not scared to throw youngsters into his first-team, and Baningime will be hoping to follow in the likes of Tom Davies and Jonjoe Kenny’s footsteps, if he does pen a new deal with the Toffees.
