Everton are reportedly planning to award star striker Romelu Lukaku with a brand new contract.

According to reports from Calcio Mercato, Premier League side Everton are looking to tie down Romelu Lukaku to a new deal at Goodison Park.
Since joining Everton from Chelsea during the summer of 2014, Romelu Lukaku has arguably managed to establish himself as one of the best young strikers in Europe and the 23-year-old’s exploits have seen him attract the interest from a host of clubs in recent times.

Lukaku is well aware of the widespread interest in his services and the striker has made it no secret of his desire to move from Everton to greener pastures in the foreseeable future.
However, as a glimmer of hope that Lukaku could potentially stay put at Goodison Park, his agent Mino Raiola had claimed that the former Anderlecht star is currently happy in Merseyside (Daily Mail).

Now, in news that will further serve as music to the ears of the Everton faithful, reports emerging out of Italy have claimed that Everton are planning to tie down Lukaku to a brand new contract at the club.
According to Calcio Mercato, Everton are planning to extend Lukaku’s current deal, which expires in 2019, for a further two years and the Premier League outfit are ready to make their star man the club’s highest-paid player ever.
While Lukaku’s ambition of playing in the Champions League is understandable, Everton do seem to be heading in the right direction under manager Ronald Koeman.
There is a big possibility that the striker could be convinced to stay put due to the rapid progress the Toffees are currently making, not to mention the lucrative offer on the table.
