Lyon’s Nabil Fekir could finally leave Ligue 1 this summer with Everton keen to bring the World Cup winner to the Premier League.

Everton want to sign French World Cup winner Nabil Fekir from Lyon this summer, as reported by Calciomercato.

The skilful playmaker is one of the most promising attackers anywhere in Europe and it seems that his time in France could soon be coming to an end. Fekir has scored 12 goals and produced seven assists in all competitions this season though he is well short of last season’s tally of 23 strikes.

Lyon president Jean Michel Aulas told Telefoot this week that the Ligue 1 side could be forced to sell Fekir in the summer with one of he or Houssem Aouar expected to leave the Stade OL.

Everton, then, could be in luck as they prepare an ambitious attempt to lure Fekir to Goodison Park. Calciomercato believes that The Toffees have set their sights on the 25-year-old, who is capable of playing in the number 10 role or out on the wing.

Transfermarkt report that Fekir is valued at £63 million and, should Everton win the race, they are likely to have a new record signing.

Lyon will surely demand more than the £50 million Everton paid for Richarlison last year (BBC).
