Everton are believed to have joined the race for Nottingham Forest striker Ben Brereton.
According to a report in the Nottingham Post, Everton had three scouts in attendance at Nottingham Forest’s FA Youth Cup match against Stoke City yesterday.
Stoke won the fixture 4-1, but the Post claim that Everton’s scouts were most likely to be stationed to look at the talents of Ben Brereton.

Brereton is yet to make his senior debut for Forest, but his form at under-18 level has caught the eye.
The young striker has netted 15 goals for Forest’s development side already this season, and looks to be the most talented prospect breaking through at the City Ground.
Brereton has already been linked with a host of top Premier League clubs – with Arsenal and Chelsea just two of the teams linked with making a move for the youngster.
And it appears that Everton are also keeping tabs on Brereton’s progress.
Everton have shown a willingness to buy from Football League clubs during the January transfer window already, with Ademola Lookman arriving at Goodison Park from Charlton Athletic earlier this month.
