A number of names have been linked with the position, and Sevilla boss Unai Emery is thought to be among them.
However, it would take some convincing to get him to move to Goodison Park given the current stature of the two clubs.
Sevilla won the Europa League this year, and will play in the Champions League next season, while Everton finished outside of the top ten in the Premier League for the second successive year.
