Everton reportedly watched Porto hammer Chaves 5-0 on Saturday night.

According to Portuguese newspaper Record, Everton had scouts in attendance for Porto’s 5-0 home win over Chaves on Saturday night.
Porto opened up their defence of the Portuguese title with 5-0 thrashing of Chaves, with Sergio Conceicao’s side in imperious form as they look to retain their crown.
Vincent Aboubakar got the ball rolling in style with two goals inside the first 20 minutes at the Estadio do Dragao, before winger Yacine Brahimi added a third.
Substitutes Jesus Manuel Corona and Marius Mouandilmadji then came off the bench to add to the scoreline, handing Porto an emphatic win on Saturday night.
Portuguese newspaper Record now report that a host of Premier League clubs watched Porto in action, with Manchester City and Manchester United both sending scouts to the game.
Crystal Palace, Everton and Southampton were also represented, as the clubs seemingly prepare for the January transfer window, despite the summer deadline passing just a matter of days ago.

It’s unclear just who the clubs were looking at, but Everton boss Silva will have a great knowledge of the top talents in Portuguese football, such as Porto centre back Diogo Leite.
The likes of Aboubakar, Brahimi, Alex Telles and Hector Herrera have all been linked with the Toffees in recent times, though moves for Telles and Herrera would be somewhat surprising given the recent arrivals of Lucas Digne and Andre Gomes at Goodison Park.
Aboubakar could be a smart target for January depending on how Cenk Tosun fares in the Premier League, and with Record also claiming that Everton watched Benfica against Vitoria Guimaraes, the Toffees appear to be doing plenty of work in Portugal.
