Aston Villa may face competition for Egyptian winger Trezeguet.

According to The Mirror, Everton are interested in signing Kasimpasa winger Trezeguet, who is a top target for Aston Villa this summer.
Trezeguet, 24, had been with Al Ahly, Anderlecht and Mouscron, but has really hit top form with Kasimpasa in Turkey, hitting 25 goals and 18 assists in 75 games.
That sensational productivity has resulted in major interest, and Aston Villa have watched him in action for Egypt three times at this summer’s Africa Cup of Nations ahead of a potential deal.
However, Villa may face late competition for Trezeguet’s signature, as it’s believed that Everton and Watford are also in the race, as are Inter Milan, Fenerbahce and Galatasaray.
It’s believed that Kasimpasa have told Trezeguet – whose real name is Mahmoud Hassan – that he can go as soon as they receive an acceptable offer, with Villa, Everton and Watford surely in a position to offer an enticing deal.
With pace and trickery, Trezeguet is an exciting wide man, and his record in Turkey speaks for itself. Whether he’d be what Everton fans are looking for is another matter though.

Everton are looking to crash the top six, and fans may have been hoping for a bigger name, like Malcom, David Neres or Cengiz Under, who actually fit the bill far better than Trezeguet.
That’s because Trezeguet is predominantly a right-footed left winger. Everton already have a host of players who can play there, from first-teamers Bernard, Ademola Lookmand and Richarlison to the likes of Yannick Bolasie, Kevin Mirallas and Henry Onyekuru.
What Everton really need is a left-footed winger who naturally plays on the right, providing some balance to Marco Silva’s side – and whilst Trezeguet is an exciting player, he may not be exactly what Everton need.
