Everton have turned down a loan bid for Sandro Ramirez as they seek to get the striker off their books permanently.

According to a report from the Daily Star, Everton have rejected a loan bid from Real Betis for Sandro Ramirez as the Toffees want to see the striker leave Goodison Park permanently.

Sandro has endured a miserable time since arriving on Merseyside ahead of this season. The Spaniard has made 13 appearances in all competitions and has managed to score one goal.

He looks to be out of the frame under Sam Allardyce – having made only two appearances since the start of December – and Cenk Tosun’s arrival suggests that he may well end his time as a Everton player before this month’s deadline.

The Star reports that La Liga outfit Real Betis have made an offer to sign Sandro on loan for the rest of the campaign with an option to buy, but Everton have rejected that bid as they believe a better offer is achievable.

The Star adds that the Toffees are looking to make a profit on their £5.2 million signing and have thus, slapped an £8.8 million price tag on the 22-year-old despite his disappointing spell in the Premier League.

While Sandro has endured a largely underwhelming time with Everton, his record in Spain may perhaps help his current team move him on. He arrived having scored 14 times in the top flight in his final year with Malaga. And in today’s game, spending £8.8 million on a striker could prove a steal if he manages to replicate something like that record when his next challenge comes along.
