Arsenal’s Lucas Perez is on Everton’s radar again
A report in The Sun has suggested that Everton are considering reigniting their interest in Arsenal striker Lucas Perez one year after the Toffees missed out on the Spaniard’s signature.
The Guardian reported last summer that Everton had been rivalling the Gunners for the 28-year-old, but ultimately missed out as Perez decided to leave Deportivo La Coruna for the Emirates.

However, his spell as part of Arsene Wenger’s side has been incredibly frustrating with just 11 appearances and two starts to speak of in the Premier League since his £17 million arrival (via The Sun).
The Sun suggests that Perez is now ready to leave the Emirates and will be allowed to move on, prompting the Toffees to consider making a move for the forward should Romelu Lukaku end up leaving Goodison Park in the coming months.
The striker has endured a difficult season
Should Lukaku leave, it seems unlikely that the fans will feel happy if Perez is the only man brought in to replace him. Perez has scored just one top flight goal for the Gunners.
But perhaps Ronald Koeman is choosing to look at some of his other performances – he scored a brace in the EFL Cup win over Nottingham Forest and a hat-trick against Basel in the Champions League – and feels that he can help discover the kind of player that Arsenal fans have simply not seen this past season.
