Everton are reportedly keen on Lorient ace Alexis Claude-Maurice.

According to Football.London, Everton are in the race to sign Lorient winger Alexis Claude-Maurice, seemingly joining the battle late in the day.
Claude-Maurice, 20, enjoyed a superb season in France’s second tier, racking up 14 assists for Lorient whilst also picking up four assists in the process.
The speedy left winger now looks set to move on, and he could jump straight to the Premier League, just as former teammate Matteo Guendouzi did with Arsenal last summer.
Sky Sports recently noted that West Ham have offered £10million to sign Claude-Maurice, with Soccer Link claiming that he’s already decided that he wants a move to Arsenal.
However, Everton are believed to be in the race, with some ground to make up given that Arsenal and West Ham have already made moves.

Claude-Maurice certainly fits the bill as a young talent with huge potential, the type of player that Marcel Brands is attempting to bring to Goodison Park as he overhauls the Everton squad.
Another left winger would be a surprise though. Bernard, Richarlison, Henry Onyekuru and Ademola Lookman can all play there, so adding another youngster in that position would be a shock, unless Everton plan to turn him into a right winger.
