The Everton manager Carlo Ancelotti is hoping that a bid of £10 million will be enough to tempt Napoli into selling Arkadiusz Milik in January, but faces competition from Tottenham Hotspur and Inter Milan, according to The Sun.
Both Everton and Tottenham were strongly linked with moves for Milik in the summer transfer window.
But the Polish striker stayed put, despite having entered the final year of his contract in Naples.
Tottenham later signed a former Napoli striker, Carlos Vinicius, on loan.
But Everton’s options actually decreased in Milik’s position, with Moise Kean and Theo Walcott allowed to leave on loan.
That has left Dominic Calvert-Lewin and Cenk Tosun as Ancelotti’s only senior strikers.
And having already raided his former club for the Brazilian midfielder Allan before the transfer deadline, it is claimed the Italian is ‘ready to go back in with a cut-price offer’ for Milik.
Napoli are reported to have paid £32m for Milik four years ago but risk losing him for nothing next summer if they fail to find a buyer in January.
Interest from Tottenham and Inter could drive up his asking price, however, according to The Sun.
