Everton and West Ham United are both reportedly tracking Leeds United’s Sam Byram.

According to a report in The Sun, Everton are ready to step up their interest in Leeds United defender Sam Byram.

Leeds chairman Massimo Cellino has announced that he is ready to sell Byram, after failing to agree a contract extension with the youngster.

The 22-year-old has only six months left on his current deal, and he is unwilling to commit to the Championship club for the future.

It leaves Leeds’ bargaining position weakening by the day, and the Whites have now come to the realisation that they need to sell the right-back to receive any money for him.

Leeds are yet to receive a bid for Byram, but there is interest from both Everton and West Ham United, according to The Sun.

And it is the Toffees who are prepared to make the first move for Byram, who has emerged as one of their top January targets.

An injury to Seamus Coleman leaves Roberto Martinez’s options weak at right-back, and the Spanish boss is now reportedly ready to make an attempt to bring Byram to Goodison Park.
