According to Sport Express in Russia, Arsenal scout Pavel Kucherov has left the club in order to take a similar role with Premier League rivals Everton.

The Toffees landed star talent spotter Steve Walsh from Leicester City in 2016, Everton have been busy in the transfer market – with mixed results so far.

Whilst the likes of Idrissa Gueye and Jordan Pickford have impressed since signing, the likes of Cuco Martina, Ashley Williams, Davy Klaassen and Sandro Ramirez have split opinion.

Now, Walsh appears to have some more help in the scouring department, with Sport Express in Russia reporting that Arsenal’s Pavel Kucherov has left the club in order to join Everton.

Kucherov, 53, had a lengthy spell with Dutch side Willem II between 1998 and 2011, serving in roles such as head of the youth academy, chief scout and assistant manager.

The Russian did have spells in charge of Karpaty Lviv and Naftan Novopolotsk before turning his attention back to scouting with a move to Arsenal in 2014, having been Dinamo Minsk assistant in 2013.

Now, Kucherov will be identifying transfer targets for Everton ahead of the January transfer window, and the report notes that he has been busy looking at games already.

This past week, Kucherov watched CSKA Moscow v Manchester United, Spartak Moscow v Liverpool and Zenit St. Petersburg v Real Sociedad, taking in three games over in Russia – and it remains to be seen whether Everton do look to target the Russian market in January.
