According to The Mirror, Everton are hoping to tie up a late deal for Valerenga teenager Sander Berge, but a £2m offer has been rejected.

The Toffees are busy late into the window, as The Mirror report that a deal for West Ham United forward Enner Valencia is on the cards, whilst Sky Sports believe a deal for Newcastle’s Moussa Sissoko has been agreed.

Whilst both players would be major additions to the Everton first team, manager Ronald Koeman also appears to be keen on adding a youngster before the transfer deadline.

The Mirror report that Everton are hoping to sign Valerenga wonderkid Sander Berge in the coming hours, who would be one for the future at Goodison Park.

Berge, 18, signed for Valerenga from Asker in 2015, and has now established himself as one of the top young talents in Norwegian football, alongside the likes of Celtic ace Kristoffer Ajer and Real Madrid boy wonder Martin Odegaard.

A strong, powerful midfielder standing at 6ft 3in tall, Berge has already made 23 first-team appearances for Valerenga, and his performances appear to have attracted interest ahead of the transfer deadline.

It’s claimed that Everton are looking to bring Berge to Merseyside tonight, but Valerenga have already rejected a £2m bid for his services.

The report adds that Valerenga want £4m to let Berge leave given that they see him as a key first-team player, meaning Everton will have to double their bid to get a deal done.
