According to Sportske Novosti in Croatia, Everton are very interested in signing Dinamo Zagreb midfielder Amer Gojak.

It’s claimed that Gojak’s departure is ‘approaching’, with a summer move now looking very likely for the Bosnian.

Gojak played in Sunday’s 3-2 home defeat at the hands of Hajduk Split, but picked up a red card in first half stoppage time.

It seems that a number of clubs travelled to Croatia to see him in action, with Fiorentina represented alongside Italian rivals Atalanta.

Most notably though, it’s claimed that Everton also scouted Gojak in this game. The Toffees have been following him for a ‘long time’ now.

Gojak is believed to be a player Everton really want to sign this summer, and they’re unlikely to have been put off by his red card.

The 23-year-old is predominantly a playmaker or central midfielder, and he has picked up four goals and five assists this season.

Everton do need midfield reinforcements this summer, and whilst Gojak may not be a big name, he may well be a player Marcel Brands sees some potential in.
