According to BILD, Everton are lining up a summer move for Bayern Munich forward Thomas Muller, as Frank Lampard gets to work.

What’s the story?

Well, Lampard has showed his ambition straight away at Everton through the signings of Dele Alli and Donny van de Beek.

Now, he wants to bring another big name to Goodison Park in Muller, who is widely considered as one of the best forwards around.

BILD believe Everton are ‘trying to get him’ in the next transfer window, which of course comes around in the summer.

It comes after respected German journalist Christian Falk backed up BILD‘s claim, when he mentioned that the Toffees – and Newcastle – want the 32-year-old.

The 110-cap Germany international – who earns £296,000-a-week – has enjoyed a stunning season under Julian Nagelsmann so far this season.

Muller has scored nine goals, while also recording 20 assists, in just 29 games this season – those are phenomenal numbers, to say the least.

Thomas Muller is surely too ambitious for Everton

We admire Everton’s ambition at times.

The additions of Carlo Ancelotti and James Rodriguez were real statements, and the arrival of Alli is another bold move.

However, this one surely has to be too far fetched for Lampard to pull off.

Muller is one of the best forwards in the modern era, having won the World Cup in 2014 as well as ten Bundesliga titles throughout his career.

In total, the Bayern Munich No.25 has scored 265 goals in 698 appearances, while also providing 243 assists. Incredible stuff.

In truth, we’d be shocked if Manchester City signed him, let alone Everton.

Having spent his entire career in Bavaria, it will send shockwaves around the football world if Muller swaps the Allianz Arena for Goodison Park.
