Jean-Philippe Gbamin had apparently thrilled Everton staff with his attitude prior to his cruel injury, the Daily Mail report.
Gbamin has had a torturous first season at Everton, after suffering two serious injuries in 12 months.
The defensive midfielder only joined the Toffees last summer, but he quickly picked up a muscle tear.
Gbamin has shown real fight to come back from that set-back, and everyone at Everton is said to have been impressed by his determination.

However, the Ivorian is now set for another spell on the sidelines.
Gbamin has injured his Achilles in training, in what has been described as a ‘freak accident’.
Gbamin could now be ruled out for the rest of the year, as he is set to spend a lot of time back on the treatment table.
And the 24-year-old will now surely be even more desperate to make an impact in 2021, when he does make another return.
