According to The Sunday Mirror (03/01), Everton will offer Sami Khedira an 18-month contract – if he takes a significant pay cut.
It’s claimed that Khedira flew to England for talks with Everton just a matter of days ago, having been given permission to travel by Juventus.
Carlo Ancelotti is keen give him a deal until the summer of 2022, but Khedira currently earns a staggering £184,000-a-week at Juventus.
They want rid of him before his deal expires in the summer, but Everton would require him to take a huge pay cut to finalise a move to Merseyside.
The 33-year-old worked with Ancelotti at Real Madrid, and Everton may hope he takes a similar decision to James Rodriguez in terms of taking a pay cut to reunite with the Italian.
Khedira is a hardened performer with experience at the highest level with Real Madrid and Juve, and would provide Everton with a big-name presence.

Adding him alongside Allan and Abdoulaye Doucoure in midfield would give Everton a midfield that few would want to come up against from a defensive point of view.
Much will now depend on the finances involved, but with a deal potentially on the table, Khedira will surely be tempted to make the move to join Ancelotti even if it means sacrificing some money.
