Frank Lampard’s Everton are ready to sell Dele Alli, which would see Antonio Conte’s Tottenham Hotspur miss out on £40 million, according to The Sun.
Everton want to sell former Tottenham Hotspur midfielder Dele Alli
The Sun have reported that Everton are ready to cut their losses on Alli, having signed him from Premier League rivals Tottenham in January 2022.
The deal was structured and the Toffees did not have to pay anything to Tottenham at the time.
Everton would pay Spurs £10 million if the midfielder made 20 appearances.
Alli made 11 competitive appearances for Everton in the second half of last season.

The deal could cost up to £40 million, according to The Sun, who have added that Everton are now ready to sell the 26-year-old English midfielder in the summer transfer window.
Spurs blow
If Everton get their wish regarding Dele Alli, then it will come as a blow to Tottenham Hotspur.
Tottenham chairman Daniel Levy will surely not want to miss out on a total of £40 million for Alli.
It did appear to be a deal too good to be true even in the long run.
The problem that Everton could face in offloading Alli is whether any clubs, at least in the Premier League, would be willing to sign him.
