According to Foot Mercato, Everton are open to selling Moise Kean this summer, but not this month.

The Italy international is currently thriving at Paris Saint-Germain, where he is spending the campaign on loan.

Foot Mercato state that the Toffees could sell him in January, but would rather aim to cash in this summer.

Why?

Well, seeing as Kean is doing so well, Everton believe his value could increase beyond the £31 million mentioned by the ‘English press’ as Foot Mercato put it – Sky Sports reported that aforementioned sum.

That is a sensible strategy, in our view.

There’s no point cashing in now, before watching the 20-year-old continue to dazzle in Paris while his value soars as a result.

So far this season, Kean has scored 12 goals in 21 games for the Parisians, which is fantastic.

The former Juventus man – who earns £53,173-a-week – scored the first goal of Mauricio Pochettino’s reign yesterday in the 1-1 draw with AS Saint-Etienne.

Regardless of what happens, Carlo Ancelotti seems to be a big fan.

Speaking to Radio Radio back in June, the Italian said Kean has ‘great qualities’ amid other compliments.

Ancelotti said: ‘I believe that Moise Kean has many great qualities. He is a great talent. He’s very young and a serious boy, who is always available. I’m sure he will do well.’

Whatever happens, it feels like a win-win for Everton.

They either get a fantastic young talent back at Goodison Park, or they get a sizeable amount of cash should they sell him.
