According to Le10 Sport, Everton have opened talks with Paris Saint-Germain midfielder Adrien Rabiot about a shock move to Goodison Park.

The Toffees are looking for signings this summer having missed on Europe in Marco Silva’s first season in charge, and director of football Marcel Brands will be looking for clever additions.

His last summer window was an exciting one, and having avoided the January window, Toffees fans are excited about what the Dutchman may have up his sleeve this time around.

Those fans may still have been stunned to read the recent reports emerging from France, as Le10 Sport claim that Everton have opened talks with Paris Saint-Germain midfielder Rabiot.

Many of the world’s elite clubs have been linked with Rabiot, who will be leaving PSG as a free agent later this month when his contract comes to an end.

Rabiot, 24, will be in demand this summer, but with no big move sealed, other clubs are starting to attempt a bold deal – and Everton have joined Real Betis in attempting to convince Rabiot to ignore the ‘big boys’.

Tall, strong, skilful and athletic, Rabiot has it all as a midfielder, and it’s claimed that he’s open to offers right now, meaning Everton may well have a shot at a deal.

That would be something of a masterstroke from Brands, and fans would be forgiven for being hugely excited about the prospect of the Frenchman turning up at Goodison Park this summer.
