Everton have reportedly been offered the chance to sign Franck Ribery.

According to 90Min, Everton have been offered the chance to sign free agent Franck Ribery, as he seeks a new club having left Bayern Munich.
Ribery, 36, spent 12 outstanding years with Bayern, racking up 124 goals in 425 games for the Bundesliga giants, whilst winning nine league titles, six cups and one Champions League.
The Frenchman saw his contract expire in June, and having managed just 10 league starts last season, he was unsurprisingly released.
Ribery remains without a new club as teams start their seasons, but his agent is now seemingly trying to ensure he plays again soon.
It’s claimed that Everton have now been offered the chance to sign Ribery, and he would be open to a move, with Farhad Moshiri potentially keen as he would like a big-name signing at Goodison Park.
The final decision would rest with Marcel Brands and Marco Silva, and whilst he would be a big-name addition, Brands shouldn’t be looking to get Ribery in.

At 36, he’s simply past his best. Six goals and three assists last season was a decent return, but Everton are moving forward with young, exciting talent – and getting Ribery in would be a departure from that approach.
Add in that Everton have just signed another winger in Alex Iwobi and Bernard impressed on Saturday, and it’s unclear where Ribery would even fit in, meaning Everton should politely decline to challenge Fiorentina for the veteran’s signature.
