Everton are willing to hand Napoli midfielder Allan a £100,000-a-week contract at Goodison Park as they look to reunite a Brazilian midfielder with former Partenopei coach Carlo Ancelotti, according to Cronache di Spogliatoio.
If The Toffees signed Jean Philippe Gbamin to fill an Idrissa Gana Gueye-shaped hole at the heart of their midfield, it’s fair to say didn’t expect the former Mainz enforcer to be football’s answer to ‘Mr Glass’.
Gbamin has played just twice for Everton since joining last summer. And he will now be out until 2021 with the luckless Ivorian suffering yet another injury on his return to first-team training last week.
This unfortunate series of events means that majority shareholder Farhad Moshiri, who has already spent half a billion on new players in just four years, may be forced to put his hand in his pocket again.

It is no secret that Ancelotti is a huge fan of Allan. And reports in Italy suggest that Everton are willing to hand the 29-year-old a £100,000-a-week contract, while paying Napoli £25 million for his signature.
The all-action ball-winner was a key player under Ancelotti but has found himself in the bomb squad since Gennaro Gattuso replaced the veteran Italian last autumn.
Allan, then, would surely relish the opportunity to reunite with a man who loves and trusts him at Goodison Park.
