Everton are interested in signing Chelsea midfielder Ruben Loftus-Cheek despite Carlo Ancelotti’s departure, the Daily Mail report

Everton are on the hunt for additions in the summer, and Loftus-Cheek is said to be on their radar.

The England international has spent the past year out on loan at Fulham, but he has now apparently had enough of temporary moves.

If Thomas Tuchel indicates he is not part of his plans at Chelsea then Everton could look to snap him up.

A strong addition?

That could be an appealing prospect for the Toffees, as the 25-year-old would arrive with a point to prove.

Loftus-Cheek looked to be on the verge of breaking into Chelsea’s team at one stage, but after injury struck he never recovered his place.

The playmaker, who Roy Hodgson once called ‘outstanding’ (Football London), does have the natural skill and ability to make him a complete midfielder though, and a new home at Goodison Park could suit him.

There is very little doubting Loftus-Cheek’s ability with the football, and his physical stature makes him a difficult opponent.

If he was to join Everton he could operate in tight spaces, and compliment the likes of Richarlison and Dominic Calvert-Lewin well, as they love to run in behind.

With Everton having no manager in place currently any deal may have to wait, as they will surely want their new boss to green-light any transfer.

But Everton’s interest in the Chelsea man looks intriguing at this stage.
