According to UOL, Everton are now interested in bringing Eric Ramires to the Premier League, who Arsenal scouted in 2019.
What’s the story?
Well, back in 2019, the Gunners travelled to Brazil on a scouting mission, where they hoped to get a closer look at the South American talent.
After hearing that Arsenal were present, Ramires told Globo Esporte it was “very good to know” that the north Londoners came to see him, as he welcomed interest from the Gunners.
It was said that Arsenal scouted him six times in total.
Now, if Arsenal are still interested in signing the 21-year-old, they face competition from Everton.
UOL believe the Toffees are considering a move for Ramires, although Red Bull Bragantino have no intention of letting him leave on the cheap.
The Série A side purchased 70% of the midfielder’s economic rights from Bahia at the end of 2021, so they won’t want to lose their No.16 so soon after signing him.
In 24 appearances this season, Ramires scored one goal, and also provided one assist.
Everton or Arsenal could sign a gem

In our view, Frank Lampard and Mikel Arteta could be onto something here.
Ramires seems to be a very, very bright prospect, and some glowing things have already been written about him.
Bleacher Report ran a feature highlighting the next big talents from Brazil who look ready to take on European football, and Ramires was named.

They described the youngster as a technically gifted player, who rose to fame after humiliating Felipe Melo, before providing a wonderful assist.
Ramires is also said to be a remarkably calm footballer, who has brilliant ball control and a fine eye for a pass.
By the sounds of it, he is a huge talent, and one who will only get better at the age of just 21.
Keep an eye on this situation, as Everton or Arsenal could soon test Red Bull Bragantino’s resolve by making a bid.
